I am located on the Haldimand Tract, part of the traditional territory of the Missisaugas of the Credit. The Haldimand Tract was purchased from the Missisaugas of the Credit and given to the Hodínöhšö:ni:h in recognition of their service to the British Crown during the American Revolution.
Several treaties govern the land in this area.
